Saw this lot at the Lupset a while ago and enjoyed them then, but they've got so much better.

I love the Eagles and Motel California bring their music alive.

Looking forward to their gig on 4th July

We went to the gig on the off-chance and very pleased that we did. Had not heard of the band before but they are a must see, particularly for any eagles et al fans. We will certainly be going again the next time they are playing any where near.

Thanks to the Band for a great night.

Well, I'll resist all charges that I'm biased but I have been with the Motel since it was just a green field site and a man stood in the middle with a dream waiting for the bricks and mortar to arrive and I'm sure that man will agree that the dream very nearly turned into a nightmare on more than one occassion.

You may notice that the band do a mean version of Doolin Dalton but theses guys ain't no Wild Bunch, a hell of a lot of dedication and practice time has been put in, to get the Eagles harmonious sound just right and in rehearsal it's just about perfect.

Now they are gigging the whole thing is starting to gel with performances going from strength to strength at every gig, so if you heard the early stuff and you think they are GOOD you can believe that in six months time they will be EXCELLENT!

Here's hoping the dream continues, but getting some sleep at Motel California is a bit difficult...

..there's a bloomin noisy band playing, party on!!!!

Hi,

My colleague Kath Brown had been banging on about this band at Shepley CC.

Well they may have bowled every one over at the CC but was this to be Upset at the Lupset?

First few numbers were infiltrated by a fair amount of feedback which was eventually sorted by unpluging one of the speakers (apparently) so most of the gig was played through one speaker?

These problems didn't seem to effect anyones enjoyment (pub gigs usually have a MELLOW audience) and once they got into their stride the band gave a creditable performance.

I think we shall be hearing more from these guys (hopefully without the FB) I think they are already booked for a return gig.

Hopefully bring some more folk to the next gig.

I went to the 'Swan for a drink with a few friends, not expecting there to be a band on. Thank goodness there was - it was a crackin' night. I didn't think I knew many Eagles songs (being in my 20s) but I found myself singing along to loads of them. What a joy it was to hear accomplished musicians playing this music.

Note from the editor:

I've decided to edit some of the comments in this thread.

I won't censor reasonable criticism of the band, but I will edit out unfavorable criticism of venues - after all they're what makes it possible for the band to be seen.

Woolpack's not YOUR Local then? Jezz & Karen.

Ok, so it's not the Ritz BUT it ain't no $*****e either, just a typical out of Town pub, good hospitality, good beer, good entertainment.

A couple of punters were overly loud but then perhaps they had to be, to be heard, at the start of the gig the band was overly loud as well!!

With the sound level adjusted to suit the venue -it is small, how a six piece band managed to fit in was art itself- I think this was, all in all, their best gig so far.

There's certainly going to be chances to see this band in bigger better venues, for with talent like this they aren't going to be on the pub cicruit for long.

So make the most of these local promo gigs, very soon it might be ticket only.
