Bit of a **edited** really but the band made up for it. There was some loud, shouting **edited** who seemed to think they were an Oasis tribute act but he was so **edited** he probably didn’t know what day it was.
**Rest of the post edited**
I agree with Jez
There were a few undesirables in the pub but the guys in the band put a great show on
I think they must have been under contract to play this place, ‘cos they were much better than you’d expect there. I had heard about then from friends and we really enjoyed the band but I’m looking forward to seeing them again **edited**.
Woolpack’s not YOUR Local then? Jezz & Karen.
Ok, so it’s not the Ritz BUT it ain’t no $*****e either, just a typical out of Town pub, good hospitality, good beer, good entertainment.
A couple of punters were overly loud but then perhaps they had to be, to be heard, at the start of the gig the band was overly loud as well!!
With the sound level adjusted to suit the venue -it is small, how a six piece band managed to fit in was art itself- I think this was, all in all, their best gig so far.
There’s certainly going to be chances to see this band in bigger better venues, for with talent like this they aren’t going to be on the pub cicruit for long.
So make the most of these local promo gigs, very soon it might be ticket only.
Note from the editor:
I’ve decided to edit some of the comments in this thread.
I won’t censor reasonable criticism of the band, but I will edit out unfavorable criticism of venues – after all they’re what makes it possible for the band to be seen.
